Artist's Story
Born in 1967 in Thuruthipuram, North Paravoor, Kerala, Sajeev Sidharth began his journey in sculpture working with natural clay inspired by rivers, people, and local culture. He later studied at the Government College of Fine Arts, Thrissur, where his skills grew stronger. Over the years, he has worked with bronze, ferro-cement, cement relief, terra cotta, and digital sculpture, moving through different materials and times. For him, sculpture is not just an object but a living presence in public spaces. His many works, especially those inspired by Mahatma Gandhi, express simplicity, silence, strength, and shared human values across generations and communities.
Artist's Works
Leaders like Swami Vivekananda, Sree Narayana Guru, Mannathu Padmanabhan, Pandit Karuppan, Jawaharlal Nehru, and B. R. Ambedkar appear in his sculptures as living ideas, placed in public institutions as silent teachers. At Ahalya Campus, Palakkad, works like Interpretation of Sight and Experiment with Truth move beyond portraiture into philosophy. Terra cotta creations reconnect with earth and tradition. Recent works include meditation-style Gandhi statues, Vivekananda figures, church commissions, and ongoing statues of Ambedkar and P. R. Sastri. His sculptures unite memory, humility, and reflection in lasting form.
